I got to play with a pinacle baitcast reel briefly the other day & was impressed. I have 1Abu & 1 Quantum & wish I would have seen this before I bought both! What can you tell me about them? Is the BPS Extreme the same reel just by another name?
Many will be quick to tell you your not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But if I make the cut, how sharp do I need to be?

I really found them to be quite similar. the only thing is that my pinnacle still works perfect 5 years after I bought it and my BPS extreme is starting to wear down. I got my bps extreme on a clearance rack for like 20 bucks in Katy though so I definately got my moneys worth out of the both of them.

I have a couple of the Pinnacles and really like the way they handle. Use them right along side my Curados.

I have been using both Pinnacle baitcasters and spinning reels for sometime now and have had no problems. Also use a Pinnacle spinning rod.

I have a Pinnacle rod, it's in the garage. It's too flimsy, but that's probably just that model. I have about 20 rods that I no longer use.

Kat-Mam-do, What rod(s) did you eventually settle on? Just curious.

All of my spinning reels have Falcon rods, different weights, based on the reel, and all of my baitcasting reels have All Star rods, again different weights but most are the CR Tom Mann series. Academy has them for about 39 bucks here. and my latest additons: here

I have 3 of the pinnacle pro series reels and I am quite impressed. I have fished them hard the last year. That is about 120 days if abuse. The only problem I have found is the one reel foot is loose. I can compare them to curados and know I have saved a bunch of money. I recommend to try the tournement choice IM6 rods through academy. The rod blanks are castaway blanks. I have three of them. And they are great. Also try the lexus rods buy silstar. Great for crankin at a 29.00. Tight lines to all.
