Hello everyone...I was wondering if anyone here has had any luck on the Banks of Lake Waxahachie lately? Thought I would ease off down there tomorrow morning and check it out.
Thanks for the site here.

B.A.

We went to Lake Waxahachie this afternoon to search for some blue cats...

This is what we found:

I was out there fishing yesterday. With an 18 footer, we had minor issue with the propwashed. The ramp that we used is about a couple hundred yards West of the ramp showing in pix above. No loading dock but at least it's not dried up just yet.

As far as bank fishing is concern, crappie should not be something to considered when the water is this low since I don't recall seeing any accessible pier or dock...

Good luck!

It's been a while, but I remember when they fenced off the whole lake from access due to people wading out and trying to scavenge for lures or just see how far they could wade out. Be careful out there!

The best deep water access from the bank is on the south side and most of that or all of it is private land. Not sure how it is on the north side closest to the dam. Launching is not bad (center ramp) but DO NOT USE THE RAMP. Launch off the bank just east of the ramp. Water is deeper and drop off even. No problem getting in or out (rock bottom). Be cautious and fyi some idiot has removed most of the jugs that mark underwater structure. This is not a problem now cause most of it is out of water but later when and if the water comes back up there will be many unmarker perils. Good luck and good fishing.
