Well I use a 5wt and have a blast but then the biggest I caught is 4.5 pounds

I also prefer a 5; maybe a 4 for schooling bass and a 6 for throwing bigger flies; the size of the fly determines the size of the rod for me; if a big un gets loose I can lie about how big it was!!!!!!-p-

6wt for most stuff. Keep a 4wt for the S. Llano.

I usually use 6 wt. But when I used 6 wt for hybrid last spring, I felt undergunned. I will probably get a 7 wt one for hybrid and white bass.

I use a 4wt right now but the biggest I've hit here so far was 3-3.5#. If I chuck huge flies, I use a 6. I used a 6 for hybrids(5-9#) and I didn't feel undergunned.

I've gone back to my 6-7 weight fiberglass browning cause I broke my 8 weight and 5 weight earlier this year..

2-10 wt. It just depends on so many things.

It's more than the catfish would do.

Which ever one's in my hand when I get the bite?
I have a 2 and a 5/6. I only use the big (it's all relative) gun when the wind or the flies dictate that I have to.

(I have a 10 wt rod upstairs somewhere, but no line or reel)

5wt when I set out to have a bass fishing day. However the basses seem to pick the 3wt when they bite...I must admit its fun on a 3wt, but the results are usually not in my favor.
