Had a guy two weeks ago fish with me tell a Mcdonald story I thought was pretty good. He had always used the golden rule and bought a check it stick for the Mcdonald. Was fishing it solo and caught a huge fish and laid it on the board and thought it was 23 1/2". He said he weighed it and it was 12.02 on his scales then he put back in the water. One hour later he another one that was 9 pounds and it also 23 1/2". Got to looking while he was checking it and seen the arrow pointing back to the 24" line. Thought the first one had to touch the end of the stick. A 9.35 or something close won it all. Says he has only told that story to a couple peaple. Let a $100.000 fish swim off! I wouldn't tell that story much either.

That is a good one Tony!
One that sticks out in my mind is the Oklahoma highway patrolman that caught a high 15lber in the McDonalds...was disqualified because his wife was in the boat reading a book and not registered for the tournament. Epic Fail
Doh!! I remember that. I was on the lake that day and heard the story.... but then again, he was from Oklahoma.... Just kidding!!

Tony took me and the wife out one day, we were sitting over a raodbed, and Tony says this spot has really be producing, about that time Debbie sets the hook, she says it feels like a nice fish , Tony goes to help her land it,....she catches a brand new pair of needle nose pliers, with big spongy handles. We're going back one day and try and finish the tool set,...

Good to know that Mark Tatum is such a good guy, because I came in second to him in the '95 McDonald's with an 11.59 fish. Had a heavy 9 in the boat already when I caught that one on Saturday morning at 6:35AM. Really thought it would hold up until that cool front rolled in Sunday morning and Mark caught that fish. Oh well, may still have the all time second place fish in Fork McDonald's.
By the way, came back from a business trip to Africa in '91 and arrived back in Texas on Friday morning before the tournament. Was pre-registered, so headed out to my best deep hole. Catch a 10.03 and go weigh her in. Since I was gone so long, forgot to renew my hunting/fishing license before fishing. That was a nice little $10,000 mistake, as had to withdraw the entry.

Fork Man, If you carry a cell phone, put a reminder in you phone notes, a week before your fishing and hunting license expire. And that will remind you and give you a week notice.
