Looks like uncle Carls tank when we told the town the world record black bass was swimming in the tank and it was worth one-million dollars to the person that caught it....

It all depends on where your line is in relation the the fish being brought in.. If they are over you.. YES. If you are over them.. NO. The worst part about the Pines tailrace is the fools who walk around to the other side and then cast in amongst everybody else..

That is what we called "Combat Fishing"
It's actually pretty fun. As long as you cast in turn, use mono line, and respect the guy who's hooked up there is no problems. The guys who can not "get it" usually leave early cussing the crowd. The guys who can get it, have fun and catch a lot of fish.
I spent a handfull of years fishing a run like that in WA.

I have been on the Russian River when it looked just like that. I had to double up on the blood pressure meds that day.

If fisherman are thick as flies on fresh road kill, then I start fishing about 4 AM, or earlier. And leave when it starts getting to thick.
