I have been trying to figure out marine creek in Ft. Worth out of the kayak the last few weeks. I have mainly been throwing slumpbusters and woolybuggers (dark colors) with little success. I mainly fish the shoreline by the college. Later in the evening I have been throwing frogs and poppers in the same general area. I am not giving up on it yet but man this is a challenge! Anyone had any success there...

Never remember any reports of good fishing on Marine Creek. I have had a couple of reports of people catching gar on Lake Worth, if you are so inclined.

Maybe another variety of fly? Are you seeing any bait action, or surface feeding? I've been starting with white/white Clouser and switch to black/red seaducer as it gets dark.

Marine Creek is a terrible lake to fish with a fly, or anything besides dynamite. They say there are ShareLunckers in there but its just an old Fort Worth wise tale. The lake is so small and sees so much action with the ski ramps the fish stay away from most flies and bait. There is a nice place near Basswood and 35 if you are interested PM me.
Calling Fly Fishing a hobby is like calling Brain Surgery a job.

I have spent 3 nearly fruitless afternoons at marine creek in the past week. The only thing I had any luck was with a hopper over on the opposite side, and the hopper was half as big as the fish.
Just bought a nice little canoe w/ a trolling motor on the back if you are interested in combining powers one morning or afternoon. I live about a minute from marine creek.
Good Luck
