Find a sandy bank, run your boat as far up as you can get it, & bale out!
When in doubt set hook!

It's a little known fact that as long as you are fishing 30lb. braid with at least a two and a half ounce jig-n-pig, you can handle a direct hit and fish out the rest of the day as long as the jig is in the water. No Zoom plastic trailers here. The fat in the Uncle Josh is critical for proper conduction of the million or so volts through your rod, down your line, and into the water without touching your hands wrapped around that made to order Kistler lightning rod.
Or at least that's what my buddy's brother's 2nd-uncle's mechanic's acquaintance-at-the-ramp may or may not have heard mentioned on Loud Mouth Bass.
:p Fish on in good health, --Casey

Ain't nothin like fishing in an aluminum boat, using a 7ft boron rod, chunking a 1/2oz buzzer and holding on to your seat pole because the storm is sending out wind only to see your buddys' hair standing on end. Young and stupid, young and stupid. Doesn't the fishing pick up right before a storm front?

Fishing does pick up right before and during the first part of a storm front. Had a really good 10 minutes on Brownwood last year watching a storm front come at me.
Rod started buzzing and I put it all up and headed for the ramp to wait the storm out. Man that was a very scary feeling.
Fishing wasn't all that great following the storm, though.

Find a 10 foot metal rod and hold it as high into the sky as you can
