After the last 2 weekends, I thought that there were no more big fish in Tawakoni (Actually, I caught 2 last Sunday, but I had to work all day for them).

This morning proved me wrong!

I had a limit by 8:20 and 10 by 10:45. I kept only 2. All were hybrids except 1 striper, all caught on 2oz slabs.

Pictures don't do these fish justice, but here they are anyway. This is NOT a 48/50 quart cooler. I believe it is a 70/74 quart. These 2 are 26+ inches long.

That is what we will be looking for Saturday, hopefully they will still be biting.

I'll be back at least 1 day this weekend, and will hope also that they are still feeding. It can change a lot in a week.

These were a lot meaner with the surface temp being 71-74, unlike the 90+ not too long ago.

They also weren't "finicky" like they were before. The big slabs worked well and they hit hard and I didn't lose any fish. Chartreuse and white worked equally well.

They were shallow - 8 to 12 feet, but that could change in a week also.

Watch out for the "liar" birds!!! They will lead you astray..................

BTW, where did all the sand bass go? I only caught a few. Did the big slabs scare them off???
