The payout was terrible! 75 teams, $200 entry vs the normal $160, and they paid 7 places.

The results should be posted tonight. Until then, here was our payout schedule.....
We collected $200 x 75 teams = $15,000 and we paid out $10,000 cash to first place and an additional $6850 for 2nd through 7th place. This is a total of $16,850 in cash ($1,850 more than we collected) plus a Hanby's Keel protecter (installed/valued at $525) to 8th place and a American Rodsmith Rod and Navionics Chip to 9th Place ($300 value).
1st $10,000 2nd $2,100 3rd $1,500 4th $1,100 5th $900 6th $750 7th $500 8th $Installed Hanby's keel protector / $525 9th $ Navionic Chip and American Rodsmith rod / $300 1st Big bass $650 2nd Big bass Navionics Chip $150 value
Our Division Tournaments pay 1 per 5 entries and our Championship pays 1 per 10 places.
BLT collected $16,200 / 81 teams @ $200 at our Hubbard Creek Championship Tournament and gave away a $45,000 boat certificate and over $8,000 2nd through 8th place. This equals a 331 percent payback on money collected. Almost $40,000 more than we collected.....
In our third year of existance, I am proud that the BLT program is able to give away 3 boat certificates ($135,000 value) in addition to 80% of the money collected from the anglers. We are able to do this because of our sponsorship funding and the investment of the owners of the BLT program.
The payout of the BLT program, in the Championships, was changed to 1 in 10 entries several years ago because most of the anglers did not want to fish for $200 in the last 4-8 places in a 1 with 5 payout schedule. They did not mind doing this in the Division tournaments but preferred the larger payouts with fewer places in the Championship tournaments.
Congrats to the winners and I hope everyone enjoyed the tournament.
Thanks, BLT staff

Way to step up, TBT!!! I'd much rather fish for ALL OF THE MONEY than just a tiny cut of it!!!
Sounds like you guys are putting your money where your mouth is, rather than just hoping some people will show up to fish!
