Left Garland at 4am and drove to Striper Express new place at Mill Creek, not hard to find at all and nice facilities. Did a trip share with Ken and Wayne. Ken is going through some heart problems and this seemed to perk him up. Hope everything goes good with your treatment Ken.
Given the conditions, NO wind, high pressure, bluebird skies, I would have bet it was going to be a rough day. Didn't start good but it got great a few minutes after sunup. We head to the first stop waiting for some top water to start, 2ft of water, see shad but no striper splashes. Stay there for a while then move across the lake and catch a couple nice ones on a point. Look around some more then Chris yells OMG look over there where we were, acres of splashes. We head over that way as fast as we can and proceded to have a great time with top water, slab, sassy, probably about anything you could throw at them. Mostly smalls but with some nice ones mixed in. Didn't seem to matter what size the bait was, we caught big ones on small baits and little ones on big baits. Let me tell you it was fun to catch those fish but almost as much fun to watch Wayne, he is so animated and REALLY enjoys fishing.

Then back at the new dock for more fun. We were catching bluegill and small cats up to 3lbs. I was using my little
zebco just to make it sporty. Then Wayne got a hold of a big one, at first we thought it was a gar then he finally
wrestled it in and it was a 28 lb cat. A few minutes later I hear my little zebco screaming drag (it was in a holder).
Got over to it and it was a matter of spooling or crank the drag down until it broke. That thing took off faster than
any fish I have ever hooked and never stopped, line broke. Here is the 28 lb cat.

Word of caution, Texoma is very low and there are many hazards just witing to rip off your transom.
