We were thinking about taking a trip to lake fairfield to try to catch some Red's. Has anyone been there lately? How is the lake level, what do they bite on? Any Info about the lake and fish would be greatly appreciated

Hunter

Talked with a TPWD fish biologist a few weeks ago and he said two fish kills had occured last month one on the north end of the lake the other on the south. To much nutrients in the lake is eating up all the oxygen in the water causing the problem. Need some rain and the water to start moving to help prevent this from occuring again.
