Spent the better part of 28 years hunting and fishing the coast near Grand Chenier, LA, hence my forum login.

Good thread Pat-T.
I was born in Ruston and raised in Monroe. Wonderful memories hunting and fishing in La. I moved to Dallas in 76. Still have family in La. from Monroe to Cutoff. I have a brother in Monroe and the only reason he works is for money to buy jigs. There hasn't been a minnow in his hand in over thirty+ years. However he will tip a jig with grass shrimp from time to time. I need to call him tonight and make a trip for a few of those o'white perch. If you see me on the water please stop and say hello.

What lakes do you mainly fish you may see me and a few other Acadians or honorary ones fishing with me at any time or place.

Nice your response brings back memories tip a jig with grass Shrimp, I used to find the edges where leaves and pine needles were and drag a dip net to catch Grass Shrimp good bait for Chinkipin/RedEars and Bluegills but tip a jig and Sac a Lait will find you in the choclate water even.
Almost everyday I meet folks from back home, this is good to know.

Am new here on the forum. My wife and her family is from Texas but now calls Shreveport home. Wife owns a house in Greenwood,La. She and I live on the border of Texas and La. I am from the mid-west and up there they would call me a ridge runner.

We have a Texas address and do most of our shopping in La. We live on the shores of Caddo Lake. So I don't know what you would call me. Maybe mixed up????
