I use an eight, or near eight foot rod for 1 ounce and above spinnerbaits. Currently I use a St. Croix Wild River WC80MXF, or a Legend Tournament Bass TBC710HM Magnum Cranker.

Stay away from the Carbonlite rods from Bass Pro...I have broken 5 of them this year. I do like to 7ft Temple Fork Outfitters Rod. I converted all to those. Reasonable priced and Gary Loomis designed. Ditto. Broke mine last weekend. It was a micro.

I like the Falcon spinnerbait rod but I rarely throw anything over a half ounce. Also have a BPS Woo Daves extreme rod for big spinnerbaits and its OK but a bit heavy and like I said I rarely throw a big spinnerbait. I would like to try the G. Loomis spinnerbait rod as anything I have from Loomis is far superior to any other type rod that I have, but it should be all things considered.
