Gonna hit Bachman soon an see if the advance scout parties are up and about! some of my archive pics of yrs past indicate i caught some nice ones in late sept/early oct in my boat, so, maybe it's time to pay a visit

crappie, that is, Saw several large schools of bass on surface chasing shad, pretty much all over the lower end of lake, around 4 pm 'ish, couple days ago.
gonna hit them up Friday after work

I got the itch to hit the creek in my canoe. I enjoy the seclusion this time of year. I did pretty good simply putting small pieces of worms on a jig head and vertical jigging brush and stumps like you would for crappie in the winter. It produced 6 cats ( only one keeper size) and countless sunfish. All in all a successful trip
