Well the fishing has been hot on Lake Fork even with the weather starting to cool off finally! As you all know we just finished up the largest bass tournament held on Lake Fork the McDonalds Big Bass Splash prestented by Sealy Outdoors. We hit the water hard for 13 days straight with 13 lucky customers whom were over 85% successful in winning checks with on lucky angler, Robert Cole Jr catching a 9.81 on the final morning throwing a 1/4oz Picasso tungsten weight, 4/0 Owner offset worm hook and an 8" Lizard in watermelon blue. Robert is great individual who actually borrowed a freinds boat to fish this event due to not having a boat, we were all pulling for him to win a boat and to our delight this lunker was large enough to secure a 3rd place finish resulting in him winning a new Legend bass boat powered by a Mercury motor!!! The key to catching these brutes lately have been to throw these light Texas rigs on 15# Seaguar InvisX and a nice 6'10" - 7' Falcon rod like a Cara Head Turner, it's just enough tip for the bass not to feel you untill you cross there eyes. We have been tossing a 1/4-5/16 oz Picasso weight, 4/0 Owner offset worm hook and either an 8" Zoom lizard or a 6" Yamamoto Senko on this set up. You want to fish this close to deep water such as guts/drains in-between main lake or secondary points. Of course dont forget to check the tops and breaks if any point, roadbed or hump! These bass are starting to head into the creeks with the water tempeture starting to cool and the bait heading back to begin there fall rutine. The dropshot has been also been producing along with a Megabass jerkbait and Yellow Magic Topwater. Another great yet very under utilized technique is a 3/8 oz Picasso shakey head/zoom trick worm combo, I drag this just like a Carolina rig over deep structure and man o man this rig flat out catches em! Here are a few recent customer catches and Mr. Coles new Bass Boat! I also want to thank all of you who stoped by the Power-Pole booth and purchased raffle tickets for the free Lake Fork Premier Guide Service Trip, the raffle was a huge success. I also enjoyed flipping my jig into all your hats, cups, purses and pockets, lol I just received news that Picasso will be offering 10% off all their products from the insert free tungsten worm & flipping weights to the 3/8oz shakey heads, to boot you will get FREE shipping on all orders over $100.00!! Don't let this limited time offer pass you up!! Just goto this link and start you shopping! http://www.picassooutdoors.com/?Click=74

Hey Cody who won the raffle?? I'm hoping it was me so I can sneak on over & hit fork again with you.. Just waiting on the email or text telling me I won ... Guys if you haven't went out with Cody yet you are missing out on 1 awesome day on Fork with a really great guide.. He has taught me more in the few trips I've went out with him then I've learned on my own this last year by myself plus he hooked me up with a bait that helped me & my partner get 11th at the BLT on Hubbard creek & qualify for Rayburn..
Wreck in 08 I died twice but with the grace of GOD & the amazing staff at Parkland Hosp I made it thru... It wasn't my time... Fully disabled & fishing every day...
