Beautiful morning on Tawakoni. Found very small sandies schooling
in about 2ft of water in front of Wolf. These were the smallest ones I've caught on Tawakoni - 6 - 10 inches long. Marked lots of fish but no takers.

It takes a very skilled angler to pull this off. It was a tough fight.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I really like the BPS tail spins. I just wish they were built a little better. Paint comes off really easy and the spinner falls off sometimes.

Tawakoni sand bass love the gold ones.

This is one of the larger fish today. Yes - some were smaller than this.

I hope the fish will start to kick it into gear in the next couple of weeks while I'm home. My Mother actualy said she would go fishing with me for once...should be a great day no matter what!

That's funny! It's a baby of a baby shad, of a baby shad.

We need lots of rain to pull off a good fall bite.
