Where is the Best spot to go surf fishing or any fishing with out a boat on Galveston Island? I am going to hit San Luis, but I keep hearing about pier 61. Where is that? Keep hearing about sharks, but how is the red fish there? Looking to cook something for dinner one of the nights I am there

TIGHT LINES!

61st street pier is on 61st street if that's what your talking about.
Also all the small rock jetties east of that pier are good (and free!).
I haven't been recently so I can't comment on the reds but the water is in great shape!

Any beach access from the end of the Galveston sea wall for beach front fishing . My favorite area is access beach front at san louis pass bridge ( galveston side of bridge ) road to beach is on your left . Take it to beach and you can drive the beach front to the left and right , all the way to right will take you under the pass bridge .
I like the beach front closest to the pass just shy of the large warning ( undertow ) signs and second cruise the beach looking for bait in water and of course bird activity .

Which bridge on Stewart Road are you referring to?

Ahhhhhhhhhhh.... That must be the bridge on Jones Road... Stewart turns into Jones if you stay straight. Got it, thanks!
