I love 'em. Try this little trick...... This works! Gives the bait a different look and moves water a bit different. Can get you bit some days when the normal beaver style tail wont. Good video Jason. The color is one of my favorites as well. 4 in. Red Shad!

I bought some 4" green pumpkin about 3 weeks ago and have had good success with them. Only complaint is how easily the paddle tail can be bitten/torn off. I color about half the paddle tail with chartreuse dye. I use spinning gear and a 1/8 oz. Strike King shakey head jig on 12 lb. copolymer line. I've found that positioning the paddle tail 90 degress (not in line) with the hook makes the tail shake like a small swim bait when you retrieve it at a medium to fast pace. Haven't tried the 5" yet.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

The spike-it in the past for me has been great but if u get any in the notchs the tail will break off on 1st cast. The spike-it has a chemical that when you dip it insted of spraying it eats str8 thru the notches.fyi Shad colored is absolutly got Lake Pat on fire caught 35 between the two of us yesterday. So for the man up top that says they don't work, he's rite they don't if you stay at home and dont gettem wet.

I started fishing the hyper-worm Texas rigged this past year. I can tell you that i have caught more fish on this worm already than i ever imagined. It's almost the only worm i use now when i am flipping and pitching stumps along the creek channels. On Fork, the green pumpkin and all of it's various colors do very good. I usually fish it with at least a 1/4 oz weight and sometimes a 3/8. the heavier weight gives the paddle tail more action. Also, try the Baby Hyper as a trailer on your chatterbait--it's awesome too.

Spike it is a great product I have used it for many years BE CAREFUL do not spill it on your boat carpet, however when you spill it on your shirt you get a lot of attention when in public!!

The Jason Hoffman tip is "Money in the Bank". One thing to add to it is heat up your scissors with a candle before cutting them and the cut will be more durable. Once cut, swim it through the grass and "it is on"!
