This is my cousin, he was trying to break off a hung T-rig at the BBS this weekend when it broke free came back and hit him in the right sun glass lens. Has a nice gash and a gnarly bruise, but still has 2 good eyes!!
Caught me a big'n and I let him go..

I have seen it on more than one occasion. NO GLASS LENSES! Great lesson for all to learn. I make a living for this kind of advice.

Glad he is ok, and for no other reason than protecting your eyes wear your shades. Does remind me of the time I pulled a 1/2oz spinner bait out of a tree and hit the wife right between the eyes, but it was ok, she has been smarter ever since! Fish Catching Travel

Yea I got hit in the beans by a half ounce bullet weight a few years back. The hook was stopped by my shorts zipper, thankfully. I thought I was gonna have to go to the hospital. LOL.
Nowdays, I get real jumpy when trying to rip one lose, or even if someone in the boat is trying.
