FF and I got to the lake at 8 pm on Friday. Cus was just leaving and gave us one rig of what they were catching them on. FF ended up using and caught about 10 on it before it got really beat up and didn't work as well. In the end we caught about the same amount of fish, over 20 each. No pattern except the bite was light and after 8 am it ended. Here are some pictures of our all-nighter. First ones of the trip: Big one of the trip: Yes this is a picture of the same fish but I caught it twice within 5 minutes(see mark on tail). FF can verify.

What rig? Don't worry; even if every reader on here fished with that secret rig, there would still be plenty of fish left over for you to catch.

All I can say (since I got the secret from someone else, hope you understand fisherman's code) that it was a swim bait. However, the majority of the bass were caught on t-rigged worms and lizzards in watermelon and blue.

Any updated reports on Fayette? I'm thinking about heading over Sunday morning. Thanks Just that the last several times I have been the bite really turned off after 8. Seems like this time of year the late afternoon-night bite is better. The fish are moving though. Fished this one hole a couple of times and pulled over 20 fish from it each time. Last weekend only pulled one small one.

Bass Junkie, thanks. Hopefully the water temps will drop soon and the bite will pick up.

I was out there today and had about the same luck. I fished from 6:30 to 3PM and saw many other fishermen none of which were really pulling them in today. Yet when I was pulling out, a guy told me he'd caught about 25 out there today. Now that's three fish an hour for 8 hours. I didn't see anyone getting any kind of action even close to that today. But maybe I just didn't find the right spot...
Very frustrating in the morning. Fish were blowing up all over the three fingers timber. I threw everything at them...poppers, spooks, flukes, lipless cranks, squarebills, spinners, jerks, ochos, rattlesnakes and 10" worms...nada!
