I'm not a salt water guy,AT ALL. I'm going to Galveston 1st week of November and will fish the jetties and piers. How do you keep shrimp alive? Can you use a minnow bucket with an aerator or what?Any info on that and tips is greatly appreciated.

As long as u have access to the water a regular live bait bucket where u can keep it in the water will do just fine, there are about a gazillion different bait bucket and aireator setups that will work as deep as your pockets.Just found this idea on 2coolfishing.com where u can take a styrofoam cooler fill it about half way ice take whole newspaper soak it in the water they get the shrimp from, put it on top of the ice where shrimp can`t touch the ice and add shrimp this causes the shrimp to go into suspended animation[hope that`s the word]but once u get the shrimp hook it and put it in the water it`s ready to go.Hope that helps I can`t wait to try the later if I ever get to go again..Bill

i agree , if you can drop the shrimp in the gulf, they will last, if not, i bought an aerator that comes with a charger, worked good, then i started using gulp live 4 and 3 inch shrimp, and i guit using live bait. the ice idea sounds like it would work.
