Anybody been using Lew's reels? Pros cons what do you think of em? Are the built well, easy tuning, yada yada. Any info is appreciated. Been hearing some good things about em.

I've got two from twenty years ago still going strong, I think these are the ones right after they took over Ryobi reels. I also have three of these left. They were good reels back in the day.

They are built extremely well. Precision gearing and no loose play. Tight and smooth!

Don't see Lews at fishermans-headquarters. Which one did ya get and is it cheaper there than at tacklewarehouse? I keep thinking about getting one of the Tournament Pro Speed Spools but at $180, I'll think on it a while longer...

I have two and love them, you can cast them a mile and they are really smooth. I will be buying more this week.

I just got a tourney pro speed spool last week and have only used it a few times but its well on its way to becoming my new favorite reel.

I bought 2 TP speed spools a couple of weeks ago, they are the bomb. I love my Curados, but I think the Lews are better.
