 anyone with humminbird weathersense?

I am going to be installing my weathersense unit tomorrow. I looked through the manual and it says to avoid direct sunlight. can I mount it inside my console on my bay boat which is completely enclosed or does it need to be open to the elements

From looking at the dates of your post you have probably already mounted it, but I'll respond anyway. Sorry for not responding sooner, I just saw your post.
Mine is mounted under my console (bass boat) out of direct sun, rain, etc., but still in open air. An enclosed compartment should be okay as long as it wasn't airtight.

Rhanks Nitro, I just mounted it yesterday after getting an IM from Doug. it is always nice to get more opinions though. I have it mounted in the console and hopefully it will work out
