Does anybody know if any of the small public lakes in the valley allow kayaks or bank fishing only?

The nearest to San Antonio would be the Rio Grande Valley? That's my home turf, and when I go back it's all salt for me.

Going to be working in Ediburg for a few days. Just wondering if there is anything near there. I see plenty of lakes in the area, just don't know if they are bank fishing only. Will probably take the long way back to SA and hit the salt at the end of the week.

There's Bentson State Park in Mission, but I don't recall fishing there. You just aren't landlocked enough! Otherwise you would be jumping all over South Padre Island with both bare feet. It's 80 miles from Edinburg (Go Bobcats) to SPI, and it's 570 miles from my front door to SPI. (Now that's landlocked!) It's about time for schooling reds on the jetties again too.
