I have been using it on my drop shot rod for several weeks and I like how it feels, great sensitivity, and casts smoothly off spinning reel

This line is really different than most lines. It is super slick and the dia is ulta small. I like it, but with most new products, it tkes time to create a following. If you haven't tryed it, you will be amazed at how far your cast will go. Just remember to reel in to the point ofwater entry. This stuff likes to stay up in the air a longtime. If you do let the breeze carry the line, you could swim the bait in two different directions on the same cast!

When new, the fiber is round. AS you use it, it tends to flatten. I don't know if it the same you are referring, but it is very slick.

The only downside I see right off hand is the price. I can buy almost 2 spools of fluorocarbon for the 19.95 price tag on the nanofil.

I have used it for a few months. I haven't had a knot problem yet. However, it is very slick, so berkley recommends a dbl twist palimar. When tying a leader, I use an albright using the Nanofil for th wraps of the knot. It becomes very small and a great knot without bulk. You must use a leader for most cranks and topwaters because the line likes to "hang" in the air and as it does, tends to get fowled in the belly hook of the lure.

Berkley should hire me to hawk this product. I'm sold on it. The complicated part of it is tying a leader is neccessary to keep the line away from getting fowled in the hooks. Without a leader, only throw a weedless bait like a fluke. When you cast this line, you will overcome its price. Ever try to reach a shad boil only to come short? With this line, You are ready for the schoolies almost 90 yards from the boat. NOW cast that!

I used some 10# this summer when it first came out. Not impressed broke off two on hookset on a shakey head. Made a cast with 1/4 oz. Shakey head and put my finger on it to stop it and it broke. In the trash. Another Berkley flop.

I bought a spool of it and broke off 3 times on 4 hooksets on 12 inch smallmouth! I used the knot they show you.One was on the first cast so it was not line wear.Cast a mile so you can break fish off further from the boat. JUNK-JUNK-JUNK!!!

Ive tried this line also. It breaks so easy sure it casts a mil put what good is that when you cant land the fish. I prefer Suffix anyday over nanofil

I have to admit, I have been breaking off frequently too. That it was me. TH for the feedback! BUT MAN, I'm addicted to how far it cast! But as you say, what good is it if it's not a reliable on the hookset. THX again.
