i would like to know what lake and the date of 2012 oilmans bass invitational that has been held at ivie. trying to figure out if i need to learn amistad before then. i havent fished it alot and it appears i might have to with the low water conditions at ivie.. will anyone have tournaments in 2012 on ivie if conditions dont improve?

wonder if they will still limit the entries since overcrowding shouldnt be an issue? talked to a guy that said he heard its in may on amistad... maybe this year we wont float at ramp for an hour waiting to load boat and miss our weigh in.

just emailed one of the tourney contacts, maybe she will get back with me tomorrow....

The date that was set for 2012 on Ivie was the week of April 13th. Haven't heard anything from Jerry at Elm Creek about them notifying him it was going to be moved. Bet if Ivie doesn't catch a lot of water, they will make the change official pretty quick.

I`ve been told that it will be at Amistad next year. I`m not sure on the date but I think they said the first of May.

it will definately be different not being at ivie... at least the lake might catch a break from some of the tournaments next year.. hopefully jerry and the rest of the good people that depend on the lake for their livelyhood can survive till the lake fills back up...

they told me unless an act of god fills up ivie it will be at amistad the first weekend in may or if act of god, second weekend in april at ivie and that a final decision will be made in november.. no word on how many entries they would allow, dont know if it would be limited to 250 teams again or not..

I would really interested in fishing there in the spring.
