Will I run into any problems if I put two transducers next to each other? My boat has a Lowrance in the console, and my Dad gave me a Hummingbird for my birthday laugh and I want to put the display up front but have the transducer in the same spot as the Lowrance unit. Will they interfear with each other's signal?

Not sure about this. I have two transducers for two different Hummingbird fish finders. They both seem to be working fine. I have a transducer on each side of the boat on the back. I would be willing to bet it probably would not affect it that much if it did. They work on sound waves. What would happen if someone pulled up next to you running their fish finder. Both emit sound waves and both receive... Good question! This is gonna have to be answered by a tech.

No it will not affect it. Your transducer is well like a bat. It sends off sound waves and it transmits what ever the waves bounce off of say the bottom a stump or a fish. Now your transducer if mounted correctly also points straight down and nothing is transmitted from the side of the transducer. Hope this helps. Mainly engine noise and bubbles are the major factor in your fishfinders.

It won't "hurt" anything to have them side by side, BUT you probably won't be able to run both at once as you will likely get "interference" between the two. As someone said above, these are just sound waves, but sound waves, like radio waves, have frequency characteristics. If both units operate at the same frequency (or close to the same), interference is inevitable!
The "interference may show up as erratic bottom readings and/or strange lines on the display of one or both units.

C is right there will be interference if both units operate at the same frequency (+/- 50kHz). Most depth sounders use a signal around 200kHz and so they will interfere. The interference can show up as C indicated or (worse yet) you wont see it at all due to automatic filtering that is built in the units. In this case you will also not be seeing some of the weaker sonar signals as well.
