Fishing yesterday morning it was almost funny listening to all the boats puttin in at Avalon. I'd hear someone having trouble getting theirs started and you could tell they were stressin because they were holding people up. I had my little area all to myself except for the few bass fishermen that wizzed through. I fished a very small area and left about 11 with 8 that were at least 11". I could have had a limit if I had been keepin 10-10 1/4 inchers. Very few under 10 and the ones I kept were carbon copies of each other. Friday afternoon 1:30 4:00 was the same, but trip got cut short cause daughter had to be at the Rodeo at 5:15 I fished the same area Weds afternoon and took home 13 with several that were 14". Those fish were chock full of fat!
I fished 10' or less pretty much the entire time. Any structure could be holding fish. Black Cartreuse and White Chartreuse were the ticket 1/16th jig really slow fishin!!

These were from Weds 9-14

Yep its the only COE ramp open, and some people are having problems launching from it. There is one open at Collin Park but it is private and I think they charge about 12 bucks.

Avalon may not be open much longer from what I'm hearin. I also heard that you have to use the North Ramp at Collin because the normal ramp is being used for the Marina's new low lake location.
