Has anyone tried this line yet?
Sufix Performance Stretch Braid
Delivering the sensitivity and feel of braided line with the forgiveness of monofilament, Sufix Performance Stretch Braid blends fibers of Dyneema and High Tenacity Dacron, providing anglers with 6% stretch (elongation). Among other benefits, the increased stretch equates to improved handling and smoother casting. The increased suppleness and forgiveness also makes Suffix Performance Stretch Braid a great choice for fishing presentations where braided line would be beneficial, but until now hasnt been that practical due to its lack of stretch.
Line Diameter 15lb 20lb 30lb 65lb Inches .009 .011 .013 .016 Milimeters .20 .28 .33 .41 Equiv. Mono Dia. 6lb 8lb 10lb 20lb

yeah dan, i tried it out crankin on falcon last time. it worked fine. plenty strong, good knot strength.
i did have a hard time seeing that it has the stretch of mono, it sure didn't feel like it. honestly it just felt like regular braid.
i do have a little extra and plan on tying about 30 yards of regular braid and stretch braid to a tree or something and pulling on them to see if it really stretches.

I purchased a spool of the Sufix Performance Stretch braid about a month ago. I believe it was 50 lb test. In my opinion, it was much thicker in diameter than other braids in similar pound test - way thicker! To me, it looked like 25-30 lb mono...I took it off and never used it.

No stretch=sensitivity. That and strenth is why I use braid if I have to. Stretchy braid sound like high visability mono!

The performance stretch braid is actually a good line for flipping. The stretch allows you to use a much stronger line with the same diameter of a smaller mono but gives you a little stretch when fighting a big fish on a short line. It's not for every application and shouldn't be viewed as such. In the right application is can be a great product.

why would you want stretch on braid anyway i started using the stretch braid last year ,when fishing frogs and in heavy grass and pads , as most know regular braid has a problem with impact strength, one of the reasons most use 50 to 65 # test in heavy cover ,the stretch braid in 30 to 40 # will cut grass and take lots of pressure with out snapping...a word of warning do not try to use it on a spinning reel...

I guess for as mentioned with Cranks and topwaters it would be okay. But, not for what I use Braid for.

It doesn't have the stretch of mono or even flouro. It's a niche line. No question about it.
