I us a cattle trough I got at the farm supply 150gal and a bilge pump with some pvc pipe that I drilled some holes in to spray water in to the trough. You got to have a cool place to keep it though. I lost several fish before I got a cool place to keep them. The water I got from a clear pond near by. I'm buying a 120 gal one made from aluminum that a guy has so I can keep them in the back of the truck to get them to the boat ramp. I tried several things mosted worked as long as I did not try to keep them to long. 3 days was all I could do till I got the big trough. Hope this helps.

do they reproduce in your tank?

or are you just trying to keep them alive?
how many can you support in your 150gal tank?

has anyone ever tried keeping shad alive in a tank?

thanks,

tag, warehousing shad overnight is no more difficult than keeping goldfish overnight provided you know how to create a safe livewell environment and maintain "safe water quality."

But, if you can't maintain great water quality you will loose again and again, especially in the summer months.

Did a koi pond .. Bought one
of those above ground pool filter systems at walmart for about 60 bucks.. Then just change filters when they get dirty. Keep Shad minnows and perch alive..
