I'm looking into the following as an alternative to laying carpet in my boat. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this or any others:

If you don't want to click the link, it's Tuff Coat non-skid coating. It basically seems like a type of bed liner for a boat I guess.

Thanks.

Not sure about the bass pro stuff, but I have see rhino liner on a catfish boat and it looked great.

I was wondering about the epoxie floor paints that Lowe's has. They have a line with a good color selection, also a non slip pain. It would be alot cheaper and American tradition is a good brand.
Any thoughts.

When I re-did the nonskid on my sailboat, I used a two part epoxy paint and then sprinkled play sand (available for a few bucks for a bag that is a lifetime supply from Home Depot)on the wet paint and it came out great. A word of warning though the end result is a HIGHLY abrasive surface. It can leave some really nasty abrasions on knees and elbows if you fall on it, but your feet wont slip when you walk on it even when wet.

Thanks for the info JiminTexas. Gives me some more thinking to do since I have a small child to worry about falling and getting all banged up.

What about dampening noise? Any experience on how well it helped out there?

try this stuff.

www.seadek.com

I used it in my boat. Great noise reduction, non-skid and incredibly strong adhesive.
