I am starting to do my reasearch right now on what fishfinder to buy and if I can install it myself or not. I do some fishing in a fish/ski combo so I am not an avid enough fisherman to buy top of the line but I want a unit that I will be satisfied with.
Broad question I know, but what is a good fishfinder that will last me. I know it will cost some $$$$ and that is ok as long as it is worth it? What do yall suggest for a first fishfinder to invest in?
thanks

Go to Academy and get an Eagle Fishmark 320. About $140 and a real fine unit. Easy to install yourself.

I have to agree with them. I have had the Eagle 320 for three months. I took the Lowrance course online about using them, setting them up, mounting the transducer properly and man do I ever enjoy it. This is the first unit I have ever had that I can spin down the lake on plane and it will tell the the depth at running speed. I just love the 320.
