From BASS Opens Official Rules:

2. ANGLER CODE OF CONDUCT
Anglers participating in any BASS sanctioned event shall observe this code of
conduct and the applicable rules for the specific event in which they are participating.
Anglers shall, at all times, conduct themselves in a manner becoming professional
anglers that will not reflect unfavorably on BASS, its members, officers or
representatives, tournaments or sponsors.
To this end, anglers shall use their best efforts to demonstrate professionalism and
integrity in support of the sport of professional fishing. Any angler who violates any
of the provisions of the Angler Code of Conduct may be subject to fines, forfeiture of
tournament winnings, suspension from competing in individual BASS sanctioned
events, permanent ban from competition, or any combination thereof deemed
appropriate by BASS.

6. SPORTSMANSHIP: Competitors in BASS tournaments are expected to follow high
standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Any infraction of
these fundamental sporting principles may be deemed cause for disqualification.

I would question anyone who thinks that Wellman was not in violoation of both of these rules.

Just met Ray and Jerry for breakfast down at the Waffle House. A decision will be made later this morning after meds and naps. They are aware the gravataional pull of the earth , global warming and the future of BASS are subject to irreversable change pending the outcome of the Wellman incident.

How did Biffle break any rules? From what I have read and seen he casted over buoy lines.

I'm lost peeps!!! Who cheated and were? Was it Biffel with the jet boat? or Wellman trying to buy a bass? or Biffle fishing over a bouy? Was the bouyed area off limits as per BASS or GM/wildlife dept? Can someone give a brief break down as to what we are talking about. Thanks.....

Me too. I started this post and I am lost as well.
I know it all lies somewhere between a phone call, marker bouies,jet boats and the Waffle house.

The guy had an honest non boater for the day. What happened in the past with some not so honest guys on the back of his boat? Not saying he actually did it but I'm betting its not the first time he's shot out an offer. One thing that gets crooks caught is not the crime, its greed doing it more often.
