Want a no-holds-barred opinion? They're cheap ****. I can count the number of boats caught on fire by them when I worked at BPS. They were the most returned of the chargers (of course, since they're cheap, they were the most purchased so maybe there's a ratio there somewhere).

Save yourself some headaches and go with Guest or Charge Pro. You'll be happier in the long-run...how much is your time worth to you swapping out a bad charger for a good one?

The boat I just bought had one. 3rd time I used it the thing dimmed the lights in the garage, made one heck of a sound and then had smoke coming out of it! Took it back and got the new model because I was kind of strapped for cash at the moment from buying the boat! If it blows again I'll replace it with something else. From everything I've read though, just about all of them have problems. Need to find the one that has the least amount of problems!!! Oh well, at least BPS took it back without a box, receipt, or anything else! BTW, I have the 5/5/5 one.

Thanks for the info. I bought a Minnkota charger. They had a rebate and 3 year warranty.
