He won't admit it. That would be a lifetime suspension. For the same reason, he won't voluntarily take a polygraph test.
I think that in his mind, he believes there's a sliver of hope that this will all blow over and he can fish the Elites and face no backlash from the fans and fellow anglers and all will be good. However, I don't think this will be the case and he is going to have a miserable tour life resulting in him eventually quitting the series or not re-applying for membership the following year.

He's done period. Only daddy's deep pockets can keep him fishing the eliets and that's only if he can keep qualifing

Hi folks. I'm new to the forum. I know Joe and spoke to him today for a little while. He's had to take some flack, people calling him jealous and snitch are some examples. He said he'd even thought about giving up tournament fishing. He has a Facebook page, Joe Stois, Sr. I'm sure any kind words for doing the right thing would be appreciated.

I personally think that not only should Nate and Joe take a lie detector test, but also every co-angler that Nate fished with this year. I'm sure there's that one guy out there that had one good fish but just wasn't really going to place or do anything in the tournament that might have collected $1000 to help pay expenses and the excuse that it was a joke is ridiculous. When it comes to $58000 worth of cash and prizes and a spot in the Classic, there's no such thing as joking, and I'm sure the real pros understand that well. Surely Bass won't let this slip through the cracks.

this whole thing just proves good things happen to bad people.

I feel like Nate will have extra motivation going into the classic and will do quite well...

Not at all pulling for the guy, just my opinion

Hats off to Joe...he did the right thing. Nate tried to cheat and got caught. We seem to have one or more of these posts every year. IMO - I think this kind of [censored] goes on more than anyone wants to admit. You put money one the line and desperate people are going to make dumb decisions. Am I shocked that this happened? NO...

I am glad that Joe stepped up and did the right thing.

Hello folks. This is Joe Stois, the co in Nates boat on day three.
I stand behind everything I said and even though everybody does not agree with me, I did what I felt was right and also what the rules required me to do.

Thank you for the support.

Joe - you did do the right thing. If you are ever in the Lake Fork area let me know. I would like to fish with you. Take care, Rodney

As for being a Yankee, I'm from San Diego, which might be a little south of DFW, and I still get called a Yankee by Texans. I wear it with pride. smile
