Myself and my friend went to Lake Alvarado last night, caught five channel cats, four where keepers measuring 14 - 16" in length typical lake Alvarado specials! using shrimp; sorry no pic's. The water temperature on the surface was 82.6 average. Its getting extremely hard to launch a boat, the end of the ramp has some chug holes and bumps at the very end, or so it appears to anyway, if the lake continues to get lower, it to will be unusable. A lot of the reeds around the lake are now on dry land, it appears that some still are submerged enough to provide at least some cover for the bass, especially around the dam area. Myself and my friend had the only boat on the lake until about 9:45PM.
