Can you guys tell me when the Big Black Drum start to roll in down around Port O Conner/Port Lavaca Area. I have leave scheduled for the second week of October. Will I miss it or do I need to recshedule for later in october/November?

I am seeing some big ones in the Powderhorn at Indianola. The later in the fall it gets the better. There are many really big ones caught from the Indianola Marina at night. I think you may be a little early but call them at 361-552-5350 and ask. They usually have the weights posted on the board at the dock. Just a note, it costs $5 to fish there and the dock is right on a deep pass and lots of reds and drum are caught there. Good luck. Email me later through my website and I will check around for you.
