Wow.. great interview and very good to hear it straight from the mans mouth! I specifically liked the part where Stois offered to pay for a lie detector for both himself and Nate Wellman.

Sounded sincere to me. I would share a boat with him anytime! He should be proud of his stand.

Yes sir....took some gonads to do what he did.

He did the right thing. There is only one way to get really know Nate's intentions, and B.A.S.S has already denied that request.

WOW!!!! is right! I've already said everything I can about this debacle B.A.S.S. put themselves in.
But just to recap...
Wellman's story has changed three times
Stois' story has remained the same.
Wellman broke a clearly stated rule which brings with it disqualification of that day's catch. If you want to read a really good piece on that go to bassfan.com and look at Harold Sharp's most recent contribution to the comments section. It's under "Interact" at the top of the page, then "Bassfan Feedback."
Had B.A.S.S. followed their OWN rules, we would never be having this discussion and the man who rightfully won the tournament would be going to the Classic.
And finally, IF he were telling the truth, don't you think Nate Wellman would have asked for the polygraph himself? Right then and there?
I sure as heck would have.

Whether Nate was joking or not, he's the only one who can say.
Joe Stois was put in a bad spot, but he did the right thing! Good for him.
