i had one of my greased hubs blow a seal this weekend and was thinking of switching to an oil bath system. whats the best bang for buck scenario as far as brands, prices and longevity. any feedback is appreciated.

anybody got experience with this setup?

stick with the ol fashioned kind. Repack bearings every year and replace bearings every three years. Use water proof grease and put a new rear seal in every time you pull hub (you have to anytime you repack in the inner bearing anyway). Bearings are cheap (most anyway). You can have one of those seals go bad and still use the trailer for a long time with the waterproof grease.
You lose a seal with the oil bath, your toast.

When you change bearings the first time, put those in boat for spares (unless there was a problem when you pulled the bearings).

What was that?

Oil baths are horrible. Most common problem with the Buddy bearing grease type is people over grease them and blow out the seals.
