I 've got an Eagle Ultra III that has gotten some water in it. It's suppost to be sealed, but it definately has some water in it.

It started getting hard to read at first, and now it wont turn off.

Does any one have any suggestions on trying to dry it out? It only has one screw on the back, and I'm a little afraid to open it up(don't want to void warranty).

HELP!!!!

How long have you had this unit?? The Ultra III has been discontinued over three years now. I doubt it's still under warranty. There's nothing inside the unit that'll just fall out or anything, so try taking off the back and letting it dry thoroughly for a day or so.

I can tell you this I dropped a cell phone in water one time and did that same thing

Just took it apart and let it dry for a few days then gentley warmed it with a hair dryer worked great for 2 more years till I upgraded.

The unit is probably 6-8 years old, but it still worked like a champ when it started acting up. I had planned on trying to open it up, but I just wondered it anyone else had sone the same before. Thanks.
