I need some warm rain gear!!! I have been looking at the Bass Pro 100mph+ and the Cabela's Guidewear. Whats the pros or cons as you see it. Not looking foward to the price tag, but it beats being wet and cold....

I love my guidewear. I had it on last Sat on Lake Tyler and never got wet or cold, except for hands getting cold, but it doesn't cover the hands. HAHA. Only had to use it a couple of times since I made the purchase. No problems yet, and I got it because of all the recomedations from guys on here. Coach

Check the bargain tent(cave) at Cabelas. I just got a nice set of Guidewear for less than $150. I had to spend some time to sort through all of the racks to find my size, but it was worth it.

Had my guidewear for 6 years and love it. My son just bought him a set and feels the same way.

The above posts are correct but additonally make sure the gear fits you well. The jacket needs to be long enough to prevent water from getting into the bibs usually on the back side. The real test is riding down the lake in the rain. Ken

There have been a ton of posts about this very subject and you will get at least that many opinions on the best wet/cold weather gear. For me it has to be BPS 100mph. The parka is long enough the bibs are perfect. My wife you fishes with me ocassionaly got a pair for Christmas from me and she told me should could not believe the difference. Kept the wind and rain out so that she remained comfortably all day. Until I am convinced otherwise there is no other option for me other than the BPH 100 mph suit.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one all I have heard is good things about both.
I have the 100mph suit and have never regreted it for a second. It's a lot of money but well worth staying warm and dry on those cold and or wet days.
The best thing about the 100mph suit is that the wind will not cut it you can dress fairly light and comfortable with out all the heavy clothing and stay very comfortable.
With all the money we spend on every thing else related to fishing the price of one of these suits is a drop in the bucket over the long haul
you will use it more than you think it is not just for rainy days.

Cabela's Guidewear. Hands Down. I had it on during a tournament on Eagle Mountain and It rained all day. Temp was in 30's. I was warm and dry all day.

Make sure you get good 100% water proof boots as well. Doesn't do much good to have a great rainsuit, then the water gets your feet cold and wet.

Cabela's will order a set for you if you don't like the color or sizes.
I'm a tall guy and I had to order XL TALL in bibs and Parka, and I wanted red and black.
They came in a week later and the store called me.
I went up there and paid for them. No deposit required.

Fun N Nun in Hurst has some excellent prices on some great Stearns rain wear. It is quality stuff comparable to the BPS Gore-Tex and Cabela's brands and pretty easy on the wallet. Wore mine at Bass Champs this past Saturday and loved it.

I am interested in your 100mph rain gear. Let me know the colors and condition. Thanks. I am leaving for Amistad tomorrow. Might be Monday before I can respond. If you get a chance to sell them dont wait on me. RGM

I love my Cabelas Guidewear bibs!

Already had a very nice Gore-Tex Parka, but the black Guidewear bibs match the jacket perfectly.

The pockets, sealed seams, 400 denier nylon outershell, stitching, etc, absolutely ROCK!

Dry and comfy warm!

Mark is right, I also have the Stearns rain gear, keeps the wind and rain out. Got mine at last year's Fishing Show in Mesquite at a fantastic price from Fun-N-Sun booth. Don't forget the newer light weight thermals.

I and my daughter have been using the cabela's signature rainwear for 7 years(me 7, daughter 4) and it still is a great suit.
It is not gore tex but is breathable and keeps the rain out. It has the cuffs for the arms that seal out the rain.
I see no downside to use this suit compared to the guidewear or best BPS suit. The upside is its usually around 250 for the suit and I have seen it on sale for around 200.
