Hello everyone,

I just purchased a Lowrance 334c. in the manual it says to go to the PAGE button and then MAPS to select the option to have the GPS and sonar on a split screen display setup. Trouble is.... this is not one of the options under MAPS or any other PAGES. Is there any 334c experts out there that can help?

CamoLee I am not an expert and I have a 332C, but one of the things that has helped me is I downloaded the simulator software to my computer and used it to figure out how to navigate the menus.

On my 332C I do have that option. I push pages, select Map and it is the next to the bottom, Map with Sonar

The maps tab is at the top looks like a folder tab scroll left and right to choose then the map with sonar is a selection there.scroll up and down to choose

I did that and the selection for a GPS and sonar is not there under MAPS. I only get FULL MAP; MAP with DATA; and TWO MAPS as my selection. what am I doing wrong?

Do you have a tab labeled Sonar next to Maps? It almost sounds like the sonar isn't plugged in or it doesn't recognize the transducer.

I called the CS number and talked to the techs at Lowrance....had the problem solved in a matter of minutes.....

Where did you purchase your 334C and how much did you have to pay, if you don't mind my asking?

I bought it at BPS in Grapevine, Tx. Paid $649 for it last Saurday and an extra $99 for the hotspots SD card (really cool!). I hooked it up... Sunday, me and my fishing partner went to Quitman to prefish for a tourney (25 degrees when we climbed out of the truck... had to hit my rod against the side of the boat to keep the ice out of my rod guides!!!). The transducer worked fine.... and all of the map functions worked fine except I didn't have the "map and sonar split screen option" under MAPS in the pages. I checked again.... the only thing available to me under the MAPS section of the PAGES is FULL MAP, DIGITAL DATA, TWO POSITION MAP, and TWO MAPS.... I am missing the MAP with SONAR page. I copied down the 800 number for lowrance I will call them in the morning.

Hopefully they can help...

Talked to Lowrance.... There is a problem with the software. Seems there are a few folks out there having the same problem. Version 1.0 is the version with the problem and version 1.1 will fix it. As soon as the fix is available they will notify me by email and send me the update on an SD card to fix the problem.

Thanks for all the info. Been wanting one and I guess now I can stop wanting and go get it! I'll ask for Version 1.1 and see if BPS has picked up on the problem yet.
