Well I went out and got the Eagle 168 for the bow. Cheap, easy to use and small so I wont be stepping on it. Now how do I install this thing? I have a Procraft 205pro. Is there a hot wire under the front panel that I can use or is it best to run all the way back to the battery?

I suggest running it all the way back to avoid trolling motor noise (RF interferrence). I know a lot of guys go straight to the panel on the front, but some of them end up with noise problems. Best to avoid that frustration right off if you can.

I drilled two holes in the bow and installed a dual cigar lighter sockets then ran the wiring back to the fuse box to empty sockets an wired it in there. That way I can run the depth finder and the gps in front and still remove them for storage.
