Fished practice at RR over the weekend and it was slim pickins! only boated 4 fish all day, only one that might have kept.feel like we hit every peice of wood in the lake, landed one on a spinnerbait bumping stump, one on a pop R over what seemed to be the only patch of grass in the lake, and the other two were caught throw a deadstick redeye shad in to the scholies when they cased shad to the surface. marked plenty on the graph, but couldn't buy a bite. hope the working mans tourney put some pressure on em and that will lift by next weekend. the winning bag from that was only 9 lbs! Goodluck gentlemen!

Yea, I'm skipping this one. RR is the dead sea! What I want to know is how did that one get chosen in the first place?

Went out to RR for about 3.5 hours on Sunday and caught 5. One was short but the other 4 would have given me a sack in the 11-12 lb range. Timber & grass mix and shallow. Most fish in 2'-3' but close to deeper water. Wac-attack.

Fished 10 to 2 on Saturday, landed six all on C-rigged Fluke shallow 2-12 feet near deeper water. All were 1-2 pounds and healthy. Saw lots of Shad up shallow, water temp was 79.5

I wish I could help. I fished for 9 hours yesterday and didnt figure out a thing. All i figured out is they wernt doing anything that they were doing saturday. Prefishing on that lake is almost pointless.

Legend, we tryed some C-Rig on some creek channels later in the day and over a point in the buck creek area, marked plenty on the graph but couldn't pick any up, were you fishing points or creek channels? all of the fish we marked were in 16' to 20' range.

thawley,

Fished a big flat inside the mouth of a major creek with a submerged pond nearby. The Shad are very near the mouths of the major creeks this time of year, and are pretty shallow right now. In the coming weeks they will migrate to the backs of the creeks and the better bass will set-up on the channel edges to ambuse them.
