The yellow magic question has been on here before. I bought a 1/4 and a 1/2 oz in smoke shad and rarely use my Rebel Pop-Rs anymore. Are they better, I don't know but I'm using them anyway. If I think I'm throwing where I may lose one, I'll switch to my Rebel though!

It's the "why" part of you question that's difficult. I see folks say they are better, but no one seems to be able to quantify the "why".....

Personally, I like the Zell poppers and think they are expensive at $9.00....

I have yet to spring for a $15 popper cause it will really irritate me if I lose it.If you aren't losing lures, then aren't throwing where the fish are!

Just buy one and buy a cheap one and see which one catches more

Guys that say they couldn't stand to lose a $15 lure should NOT buy them. If you're not going to throw the best where you think it's most likely to get bit for fear of losing it, then why have one?

Just like guys who get up to a 3 Par over water. They immediately start rumaging throught their bag for a "water ball." They're defeated before they ever hit that golf shot and will hit it in the water 90% of the time.

Fish what you can afford and have the confidence to throw anywhere, anytime.

The golf comparison sounds like me, I hit the water 90% of the time and that's when I casting my lures! OK, OK, I stand corrected, I won't switch to my Rebel anymore unless I lose both my Yellow Magics!
cheers
