i bank fish ... i like long rods for that 9-12' & have an assortment of casting reels ... really like the 7000 size ... i use tackle bags instead of boxes ... heavy duty tool bags work great
regards albertking catfishing is now an industry ... it's best for the industry to eat baby catfish

Welcome to the TFF! Lots of great folks on here and a great resource as well. I have a Plano tackle bag with the clear plastic boxes inside. One each for weights, hooks/terminal gear, floats, and even one with some slabs and such for chasing scaley fish.

I went to a Canvas bag style with the plastic boxes cuz I was tired of all my tackle getting mixed/jumbled up when my 3 tray regular tackle box would get flipped over or dropped .....plus the bag style have a shoulder strap.....

Two piece design for easy transport. If you want to go down to a shorter rod the PA 7.5' rod is another great alternative but it's a one piece rod. Lot's of guys stuff them in cars.

I'm assuming you're from south Texas since you mostly fish Choke Canyon, and there's several guys from that area that are on the forum all the time. Welcome, bud, and good luck!!!

Welcome to the forum Croak!! I mostly use a 5 gallon bucket for all my tackle box needs. Hooks, sinkers, line, etc in plastic baggies gives easy access. And the price is right!
****Sun sinking low....lines baited.....gentle south breeze blowing...you realize.........I AM! .
