Two of my friends went fishing, one at Lake Benbrook last night and one this morning at Lake Alvarado. My friend went to Benbrook last night, he launched in the gravel around Mustang, he said the ramps are unusable, he said he had to wade out also to help get his boat off. He said there was no other boats on the lake and he fished around near the dam on where these little bubbles come up at and one small channel cat was caught; he said he has never seen this lake this down before!

My other friend this morning went to Lake Alvarado. He caught several bass, the largest about 2 Lbs.
He said the ramp has some bad places at the end, and it makes it harder to launch & reload your boat, he if the lake continues to get a little lower, it will make it really hard to launch, without being a Jon boat.

and we'er gonna have a dry winter too !!

I talked to my friend that went to Lake Benbrook further, he said the deepest part of the lake he found on his sonar was 40ft deep and this was by the dam, so you can all guess on what the real shape of this lake really is; especially those that know this lake!

Just got home me and the wife had a kid free weekend so we took the bass buster knowing the ramps wrre unusable but man I tell u what in the ten years ive been fishing there ive never, seen it this bad but we csught some crappie and a few channels and also gps markd some nice structure thats out of the asa ter now for future trips we also walked the creek and found about 36 cranks, spinnerbaits bobers had a nice weekend overall
