well, being a "Forker" I don't think we are any worse than other lakes. I think people coming up on others shows they are desperate for fish and believe you are on them , so they join. At lake Tawakoni, I don't think much better. I think it is mind set of folks now days, they don't want to work their way up the ladder, in other words, find their own fish, they'd rather steal yours and that is being dishonest too. Guess just like why do people run red light? they always think they can do what they want, same here. People think they can do others badly, as for Mc Donald's, I can tell you the "forkers" stay off the water. As for the bad guide, he won't last long here, word travels and other guides will take care of him......Fork is lame now just like other lakes, no water, lots of stumps and so things happen. Just try to be safe and hope the bad guys learn to be respectful. Am sure they are here getting ready for Micky Dee's tourn. So watch out for them.

Just take your Rod loaded with braid and just cast across their line and bring their lure back to the boat a couple of times, and POLITELY ADD IT TO YOUR TACKLE BOX. You might get the same look that you gave them when they pulled up. I just always smile and wave at them just like they did when they rolled up on me. This is the most courteous way to deal with "PEOPLE THAT DON'T GET IT".

I have been hit from behind by another boat and I have had a guy nearly hit my boat with his lure. That dude came in on us when we were there in the pocket waiting on the time ofthe T to start. Talking about pissed. Both times. To Heck with that overpopulated piss poor lake full of slot fish. LOL

Just scream 'em out. Just yell,"Hey,I'm Fishinig Here"! If they cut you off,Repass on the TM and, yell,"Don't cut me off"! If they are too close, yell,"Hey,you're fishing too close,to me." That's all you have to say, don't worry, they'll take the dialogue from there. If they board my boat,I'll defend myself, call the Police, call my attorneys, and start dating their wife, not that I'm bitter,or anything.

I don`t have any problems on Fork even during the McDonalds. It was pretty crowded yesterday and I fished one of the bridges a lot without any issues. I`m not saying this doesn`t happen because I get it on other lakes. Just not Fork for some reason.

The year before Rita hit I got knocked out of my boat by some joker. All he said was woops and took off didn't offer to help me get back in the boat. Last time I fished the McDonald's.

I don't think it had anything to do with fork. Fished there since the late 80's and just about every other lake in the state. It was just a couple aholes with no clue.

There is more than a couple I can promise you. With the McDonalds coming up there's going to be about a thousand. Me and brother in law had 2 guys in an older basscat troll right over the structure we were fishing, the two guys kept their backs to us and the better part of common sense prevented me from clocking the guy on the trolling motor with my jig. They cruzed on by and didn't have a rod in either guys hand. Needless to say I was PO'ed. If it wasn't for a tourny me and the wife are fishing next weekend I would NOT be on Fork. In the fameous words of Ron White "You Can't Fix STUPID".

I've had the same issue on Fork, but not anymore than other lakes. This is fishing in general nowadays.
