Our club has a tournament on Sunday. I was going to fish tomorrow but have heard reports that the boat ramps are closed. We are fishing out of Johnson Creek.

I would stay away.The fire is only about 40 percent contained last I heard.The Johnson side of the lake is where all the trouble is.I heard of a guy putting in there yesterday before they closed it off and he got stuck over by Tejas because he couldn't get back to his truck due to smoke.

30,000 acres burning in that area. Buddy of mine has been working in H.Springs and said it was terrible looking.

Just called (12:30pm) LOP office for US Army Corps of Engineers at 903-665-2336. Ramps are still closed and does not have any information as to when they will open, but she said they will possibly be closed tomorrow as well.
