Anyone have experience with solar battery chargers? I just bought a 9 watt charger for my anchor winch battery and was wondering what to expect from the charger.

Not very much, it is only putting out 0.75amps.
You need at least 21 watts just for trickle charge.

I figure if I leave it on the boat 24-7 and I am using the boat maybe twice a week that it might help keep a charge up for my anchor winch. Do you think so?

but it won't be charging 24-7... or so I wouldn't think... I believe there more for keeping a fully charged battery from going dead... but I could be wrong.

It is my understanding that they are battery maintainers not chargers. If you rairly use your anchor winch and the battery is not discharged very much it may charge enough to get you by though.
